Job summary

Great River Health Systems is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide basic patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse in a hospital setting. The role emphasizes safety, accurate documentation, and compassionate patient support across adult, geriatric, and specialized care populations.

Scheduled hours are 2:30pm–11:00pm with every other weekend and holiday rotation. Benefits include competitive pay, retirement plans, health/dental/vision coverage, PTO, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Completion of CNA course required.
• CNA course if currently in high school required.
• Computer experience required.
• Healthcare experience within the last five years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer patients' call lights promptly and fulfill requests.
• Perform skin assessments and report abnormal results.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Maintain clean patient rooms and change linens as appropriate.
• Collect and correctly label specimens (urine, feces, sputum).
• Document activities in the medical record accurately and timely.
