Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and answer telephone calls.
• Schedule appointments and pull/file medical charts as indicated.
• Obtain accurate demographic, insurance, and physician information on registrations.
• Screen customer data to ensure insurance eligibility and communicate differences.
• Ensure insurance pre-certification and referral requirements are met; instruct customers on requirements.
• Assist in identifying self-pay patients and refer to financial assistance when applicable.
• Maintain open communication with all departments and clinical staff.
• Assist in shadowing/precepting new employees.
