Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network in West End Medical Building (Macungie) seeks a Patient Access Representative to handle outpatient and Emergency Department registration, verify insurance, and collect payments. Per diem shifts and occasional travel between campuses may be required after training.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• General computer experience and accurate typing abilities required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in hospital information system with accurate demographics, emergency contact, and insurance data.
• Transcribe orders, verify insurance eligibility, and manage real-time eligibility checks and patient balances.
• Coordinate with clinical departments and revenue cycle to ensure clean claims and proper payment collection.
• Cross-train across locations and assist with patient flow and Welcome Kiosk/on my way processes.
