Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Registered Nurse for evening shift in our Fort Wayne, Indiana facility. The RN provides patient-centered care, coordinates nursing processes, and collaborates with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations; valid RN license and BCLS are required, with ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred. Benefits include sign-on, 401K match, tuition reimbursement, and PTO.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations required.
• RN state licensure in Indiana and BCLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred.
• Experience in OR nursing or perioperative care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per the nursing process.
• Assess patients and document findings; report changes to care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR and code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
