Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg 4B unit on nights (7p–7a), full-time .9 FTE.

The team consists of 24-bed unit with support from experienced nurses; responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, and coordinating care with physicians.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• RN licensure and BCLS required.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with policies and nursing process.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor for side effects, and document administration.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
• Provide patient and family education on conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in CPR and code team activities.
