Job summary

DP World has launched a new operation in Rialto, CA, seeking Operations Supervisors for 2nd Shift to support this venture and help shape daily operations from day one.

Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, training, mentoring, and monitoring team performance; ensuring safe operation of material handling equipment; maintaining production metrics; and eliminating hazards for a safer workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising in Automotive, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain/Logistics facilities.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience and/or training regarding Occupational Health & Safety, 5S, Lean Methodologies preferred.
• Quality systems knowledge to monitor staff performance and costs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate work, train, motivate, monitor and evaluate team performance; ensure safe operation of material handling equipment.
• Monitor and measure team performance for accuracy and document on daily production metrics.
• Identify and eliminate safety and housekeeping hazards to minimize workplace accidents.
• Ensure compliance with processes, work instructions, and standard work.
• Liaise with materials department to ensure on-time receipt and shipment of material.
• Other duties as assigned.
