Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the Port Reading, USA facility. The role focuses on supervising inbound/outbound activities, labor planning, and customer communication to ensure service quality and cost objectives are met.

Responsibilities include hiring, training, and evaluating staff, plus ensuring safety and adherence to SOPs. Occasional evenings/weekends may be required as per operation. Competitive pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 3 years experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
• 1 year experience in a supervisory role.
• Able to operate MHE and forklift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inbound, outbound, product slotting and customer communication activities.
• Plan daily work schedules and assign duties to warehouse staff.
• Hire, train, and evaluate staff; conduct performance appraisals and address issues.
• Ensure safety, quality and cost objectives are met and drive continuous improvement.
• Meet client KPIs and maintain adherence to SOPs and policies.
• Communicate with senior management and clients about critical issues.
