RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Nursing Supervisor for the Evening shift at the New Brunswick campus. This leadership role oversees nursing staff in the Nursing Supervisors department and ensures quality patient care in a high-acuity environment.

Required BSN and at least one year of leadership experience, with strong communication and organizational skills. Licensure in New Jersey and BLS/ACLS certifications are needed; per diem scheduling may apply.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Minimum one year of leadership experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Preferred: 2-3 years of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and ANA ethics code.
• Maintain safety and apply evidence-based practice; continuously assess knowledge and team needs.
• Report identified safety issues and medical errors.
• Maintain knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct delegation to team members; collaborate with other care providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities with interventions and measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Serve as an interdisciplinary team manager and integrate the plan of care.
