Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Nursing Supervisor in Elizabeth, NJ for the night shift (11pm–7am) on a per diem basis. The role requires an active NJ RN license, BSN, BLS, ACLS, and leadership experience, with MSN preferred. You will supervise nursing staff, coordinate patient care, and ensure efficient flow using EMR systems like EPIC.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• BSN required; MSN and 3–5 years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years clinical/hospital experience; 1 year leadership experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• EMR experience with EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Acts as an administrative liaison and coordinates patient care activities.
• Recognizes priority situations, acts, and makes appropriate decisions.
• Addresses system issues to facilitate quality and efficient care.
• Facilitates timely transfer of patients to designated clinical areas.
• Utilizes escalation process to resolve issues/problems.
• Utilizes bed prioritization process criteria to ensure patient flow and admission.
• Exhibits excellent communication, leadership, time management, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
