The position is full-time, with an evening schedule (Mon-Fri, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM) and pay ranging from $47.50 to $73.00 per hour plus benefits. Active CT RN license and BLS required, with 3–5 years of clinical nursing and 2+ years in Charge Nurse or Preceptor roles.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Connecticut or a Compact State
• Current AHA BLS certification
• 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience
• 2+ years of Charge Nurse or Preceptor experience
• Med Surg, Stepdown, Progressive Care, or LTACH experience

Responsibilities

• Support the Nurse Manager with daily unit operations
• Manage staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and competency assessments
• Coach and develop nursing staff
• Support recruitment, hiring, and staff evaluations
• Monitor compliance with quality and regulatory standards
• Oversee patient flow and nursing workflows
• Drive quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
• Assist with budget and financial management
• Serve as the evening leadership resource for the unit
