Hartford HealthCare's Family Birthing Center in New Britain, CT is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (RN, CRN, CNL) to lead nursing teams during night shifts. The RN will supervise patient care, clinical staff, and unit operations to ensure high-quality, family-centered care aligned with the hospital's strategic goals.

The role requires a BSN, CT RN license, BLS, and at least two years of acute care nursing experience.

Qualifications

• BSN required with Connecticut RN licensure.
• Two years of acute care nursing experience required.
• Knowledge of nursing leadership, quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patient care, clinical personnel and unit operations.
• Oversee daily operations including off-shift and weekend supervision.
• Manage resources, payroll, and colleague scheduling to ensure efficiency.
• Monitor patient throughput to support high-quality care.
• Foster a safe, therapeutic unit environment and staff RN coverage as needed.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and professional development.
