Cross Country Healthcare is seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) to lead a 23-bed inpatient unit caring for medically complex patients requiring 24/7 nursing care. This role supports daily operations, staffing, and staff development, with an evening/night leadership schedule in a high-collaboration setting.

Qualifications

CT RN License or Multistate Compact required
BSN degree required
Minimum 2 years supervisory or leadership experience

Responsibilities

Support daily unit operations, staffing, and scheduling
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and staff development
Provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, and performance management
Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards
Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Assist with budget monitoring, productivity management, and resource utilization
Serve as a clinical resource and operational leader during evening and night shifts
Participate in workforce management, staffing adjustments, and performance evaluations
