Job summary

Mercy Health in Lorain is seeking a Staff Nurse CN II for the Med/Surg Unit - Lorain, Two West. You will provide care for a group of complex patients, perform initial assessments and ongoing monitoring, and precept new staff as assigned, ensuring clinical readiness and safe patient care.

Role supports a part-time schedule of 24 hours per week with an evenings/night shift pattern. Candidates must hold Ohio RN licensure and maintain BLS/CPR recertification, with ongoing CE and professional

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Completion of orientation and probationary period.
• Minimum 12 contact hours CE annually incl. Fire Safety and BLS/CPR recertification.
• Ability to communicate well with people of varying backgrounds.
• Maintains BLS/CPR recertification.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for caring for a group of complex patients.
• Performs initial assessment and ongoing monitoring of patient condition.
• Precepts new employees as assigned.
• Demonstrates clinical competency with essential equipment.
• Coordinates nursing care with independent planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Reports to Nurse Manager or Administrative Supervisor.
