Job summary

Responsibilities include greeting patients, phone support, EMPI searches, appointment scheduling, and HIPAA/compliance adherence. Working hours include weekends, evenings, overnights, and holidays.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of job-related experience preferred.
• Basic MS Word & MS Excel; strong customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, physicians, staff and guests promptly and professionally, guiding them as needed.
• Answer calls and provide information; reduce call abandonment with best practices.
• Search and identify patients in the EMPI to ensure accurate registration.
• Schedule appointments following protocol and obtain additional information when needed.
• Enter accurate demographic and financial information to secure payment.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain required authorization as needed.
• Provide service estimates and actively solicit patient liability.
• Enter orders in the system and understand coding and charge descriptions.
