Summa Health in Cleveland is seeking a Patient Access Liaison II for ER/L&D, a full-time role with 5:30 pm–5:30 am shifts and weekend/holiday rotation. A $1500 hire-on bonus is offered, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Post high school coursework in healthcare, accounting, business, public relations or related field preferred.
One year experience in customer service or general office support; healthcare a plus.
Experience in Registration, Insurance Verification/Pre-Certification, Financial counseling, Patient Accounts is a plus.
Microsoft Office knowledge (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

Interviews patients in person at workstation or bedside to obtain account info.
Communicates with patients and families and guides them through registration and benefits.
Assists with insurance eligibility, estimates, co-pays, deductibles, and referrals.
Disseminates registration documents and provides financial assistance information.
Presents a professional Summa Health image with strong customer service.
