Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, age-appropriate patient care on a 24- or 36-hour per week night shift at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. You will perform delegated clinical tasks, support the care plan, and document activities in Cerner.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of first clinical rotation as Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Successful completion of a 75-hour state-approved Nurse Assistant course or 6 months Nurse Assistant experience required.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate care to ensure understanding and comfort per plan of care.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal relations with patients and staff.
• Completes clinical activities and documents data in Cerner and worksheets.
• Maintains a clean, safe patient environment and assists with ADL.
• Responds promptly to Call Lights and relays requests to appropriate staff.
• Covers the front reception area as needed and assists with intake and scheduling.
