Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of first clinical rotation as Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Successful completion of the 75-hour state approved Nurse Assistant course or 6 months Nurse Assistant experience required.
• Will consider high school students 16 years or older who have completed the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides appropriate care specific to the age of the patient, to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Gives individualized patient care and supports daily living needs.
• Completes age-specific competency assessments and documentation.
• Maintains patient safety and communicates with health care team.
• Provides transportation assistance and helps with ADLs as needed.
• Performs daily room cleaning and ensures sanitary environment.
• Answers call lights promptly and reports patient needs to staff.

Education
