Job summary
Nebraska Methodist Health System, including Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA, seeks compassionate nursing assistants for night shifts (3x12, 7p-7:30a, every third weekend). Qualifications
- Education requirements include High School diploma or GED, CNA course preferred.
- Experience in customer service, cleaning, food service, or patient care preferred.
- Current BLS certification preferred or required within 3 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide age-appropriate patient care to ensure comfort and understanding of treatment.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal relations with patients and staff to ensure effective communication.
- Assist with ADLs, transfers, ambulation, and vital signs according to the plan of care.
- Document patient data in Cerner or worksheets accurately and timely.
- Maintain a safe, clean patient environment and manage room turnover.
- Assist front desk as needed and support administration tasks.
