Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant for Methodist Fremont Health Hospital in Fremont, NE. The position runs 6:45pm to 7:15am, 36 hours per week with rotating every third weekend.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, and maintaining a safe patient environment. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and/or completion of a Nurse Assistant program or 6 months of experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and carry out instructions.
• Ability to collect, record, and report patient needs to the appropriate caregiver.
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills.
• Participates in mandatory in-services and continuing education programs as required by policies.

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate care to ensure understanding and comfort with treatment.
• Gives individualized customer service and patient care.
• Completes age-specific competency assessment.
• Maintains positive relations with patients, coworkers, physicians and guests for effective communication.
• Documents all data collected accurately in Cerner or on worksheets.
