Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Radford, VA is seeking a Resident Care Associate (RCA) to support seniors in Assisted Living and Memory Care. You will assist residents with daily tasks, help with mobility, and follow individual care plans while documenting care activities and maintaining dignity and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Direct-Care, PCA or CNA certification required.
• Ability to fulfill physical and emotional needs of residents.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Aligns with Commonwealth Senior Living's mission of improving residents' lives.
• Flexible availability including weekends.
• Proficient with basic office equipment and records.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks and coordinate with the Resident Care Director.
• Aid residents with mobility using proper techniques to prevent injuries.
• Make routine care rounds to meet individualized care plans.
• Assist with lifts, moves and transport using proper body mechanics.
• Document daily care activities per policy and standards.
• Report any resident concerns promptly to supervisors.
• Respond courteously to inquiries from residents and staff.
• Familiarize with residents' care plans and contribute observations.
