Commonwealth Senior Living in Radford, VA is hiring a Resident Care Associate (RCA) to assist residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care with daily tasks and care plans.

The role emphasizes compassion, patience, and teamwork, with a schedule including night or late-afternoon shifts. Full-time benefits and ongoing training are provided to support quality resident care and well-being.

Formación

• Direct-Care, PCA, or CNA certification required
• Ability to fulfill both the physical and emotional needs of residents
• Direct-Care or other state-specific certification required, or willingness to obtain
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain according to company policy
• Upholds resident confidentiality
• Flexible availability, including weekends, to ensure resident care and services
• Demonstrates sincere compassion and genuine concern for the well-being of seniors and families
• Proficient in using basic office equipment to maintain job performance
• Aligns with Commonwealth Senior Living's mission of improving the lives of seniors and their families

Responsabilidades

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks, maintaining communication with the Resident Care Director regarding care provision and resident condition changes
• Aid residents with mobility, using proper techniques and equipment to prevent accidents
• Make routine resident care rounds to ensure needs are met according to individualized care plans
• Assist with lifts, moves, and transport using proper body mechanics or lifting devices
• Perform care that maintains skin integrity and prevents pressure ulcers
• Document daily care activities per policy and regulatory standards
• Report resident issues promptly to the supervisor
• Respond courteously to inquiries from residents, visitors, staff
• Familiarize with residents' care plans and provide support accordingly
• Contribute insights to care planning by sharing observations of needs and preferences
• Interact respectfully with residents, families, visitors, peers, and supervisors
• Offer physical, emotional, and psychosocial support to residents and families
• Adhere to residents' rights and report any incidents
• Implement safety and infection control procedures
• Maintain a safe working environment and attend required trainings
• Fulfill any other duties as assigned
