Job summary

Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago is seeking a Part-time EEG Technician for per diem evening shifts (7-11pm) with weekends possible. You will perform EEGs, prepare patients, collect history, and ensure high-quality recordings, while handling scheduling and basic clerical duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience in neurodiagnostics or similar direct patient care.
• BLS certification within 6 months if required by department.

Responsibilities

• Perform and maintain EEGs with proper electrode placement and calibration.
• May conduct ambulatory EEG monitoring and related procedures as needed.
• Prepare patients, gather history, and explain procedures to patients and families.
• Troubleshoot equipment and report issues to supervisor promptly.
• Schedule procedures, archive studies, and perform charge entry as required.
