Responsibilities

• Perform and maintain competency in EEGs, including portable inpatient and ambulatory EEGs.
• Prepare patient for exam; gather history and explain procedures to patient and family.
• Operate and calibrate EEG equipment; adjust montages and activation procedures as needed.
• Identify and document artifacts; troubleshoot equipment or report issues to supervisor.
• Complete clerical duties such as scheduling, archiving studies, and charge entry.
• Position and transport patients safely; apply proper techniques and assist as needed.
• Adhere to age-specific care requirements and department policies.
