Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time EEG Technician at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago for per diem evening shifts and weekends. You will perform EEGs, prepare patients, ensure proper electrode placement, and monitor test quality to support neurological care.

The role requires 1 year of neurodiagnostic experience, High School Diploma, and BLS certification within 6 months. Per diem hours and a schedule that includes evenings are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Typically 1 year of neurodiagnostics or direct patient care experience.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform EEGs and ambulatory EEG monitoring as required.
• Prepare patients, collect history, and explain procedures.
• Set up equipment, apply electrodes, and adjust montages.
• Identify artifacts and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Schedule procedures, archive studies, and handle charge entry.
• Assist patient positioning and lifting following safety guidelines.
