Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have strong English reading and comprehension skills.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Able to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
• Able to pass NDT certifications required by Responsible Level III.
• Able to complete GSC NDT certifications required in grade system.

Responsibilities

• Certifies product conformance and maintains traceability to certification.
• Performs penetrant, X-ray, and magnetic particle inspections and interprets results.
• Maintains and calibrates NDT equipment; operates parts washer and conducts process checks.
• Grinds and finishes welds; sandsblasts parts as needed.
• Communicates with engineers on scrap, rework and process issues; ensures paperwork is complete.
