Vanderbilt University’s Jean and Alexander Heard Libraries seek a part-time Library Services Assistant for the Wilson Music Library in Nashville. Qualifications

• 1 year of work experience in an academic or research library.
• Must be willing to work evenings (4:00 pm – 10:00 pm), totaling 20 hours per week.
• Ability to communicate tactfully with library users and provide customer service.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate evening operation of the Music Library service desk.
• Provide music reference assistance when librarians are not present.
• Oversee circulation, shelving quality control, and digitization of print/audio materials.
• Support training and supervision of student employees in the absence of the Student Supervisor.
• Foster a welcoming, user-centered environment while ensuring policy adherence.
• Assist with outreach activities and other duties as needed.
