Belmont University is seeking a Library Access Services Student Assistant for Bunch Library in Nashville, TN. The role provides frontline service at the Information Desk, shelves materials, and supports daily library operations.

Ideal candidates are friendly, reliable, and able to work 10–15 hours weekly, including some evenings and weekends. Prior customer service is a plus; physical tasks include lifting up to 50 lbs and pushing carts. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as Belmont University student.
• Prefer prior library or customer service experience.
• Must be able to push loaded book carts over 100 lbs and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must adhere to posted schedule and work 10–15 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Staff the Information Desk.
• Answer directional and basic library questions; assist patrons with locating materials.
• Refer research questions to librarians.
• Maintain library areas; shelves, stacks, and materials handling.
• Know library collections and circulation policies.
• Collect and log statistics.
• Enforce library policies and refer issues to staff.
• Work assigned shifts or arrange substitutes.
• Participate in training on resources, policies, and procedures.
• Complete tasks from Access Services Supervisors/Manager/Director.
