Middle Georgia State University is seeking a part-time Federal Work Study Music Library Assistant to help organize and promote the music library’s collections. The role supports access to scores, recordings, and digital archives across MGA’s choral music holdings.

The Student Music Library Assistant will assist in cataloging, organization, and digital workflows, with up to 19 hours per week, under the choir director and music staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 2.0
• Be enrolled student at Middle Georgia State University for at least 6 credit hours.
• Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Responsibilities

• Add titles to the digital catalog of the music library
• Modify titles in the digital catalog of the music library
• Place music scores in the music library in appropriate storage packets
• Retrieve music from the music library
• Create folders for MGA choirs using titles from the library
• Return used music to the music library
• Other duties as assigned by the choir director
