Job summary

Community Health Resources REST Center in Willimantic, CT is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care in a 24/7 crisis stabilization setting. The role includes weekend hours (Sat/Sun 4pm-12am) with on-site medication management and a focus on trauma-informed, recovery-centered care.

The ideal candidate is a CT-licensed RN with behavioral health experience, CPR/First Aid certification, and a collaborative approach to care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a School of Nursing from an Accredited Nursing Program.
• RN license to practice in State of CT.
• CPR & First Aid Certification required or must obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Experience with substance use and mental health disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct services to clients in a 24/7 residential setting.
• Intervenes to maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu for individuals with co-occurring disorders.
• Maintains rapport with clients, supports coping skills and psychoeducation.
• Transports clients as needed and documents interventions, observations, and moods.
• Manages on-site and off-site laboratory testing per policy and supervises medication administration.
• Participates in treatment planning and care coordination with a multidisciplinary team.
