Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician for the Ivy Park at Sacramento community to supervise and assist in administering medications and to provide direct personal care to residents. The role emphasizes following nursing standards, coordinating with pharmacies, and engaging residents in activities.

The position supports a team-based environment with a focus on safety, confidentiality, and high-quality care while working Sunday and Monday 2pm–10pm shifts.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with the resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
