Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a part-time medical laboratory technologist/MLS-eligible professional for the Pineville Lab. The role runs 6:30pm–7am, with every other weekend coverage, and accepts MLT applicants. Compensation ranges from $28.55 to $42.85 per hour.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and MT/MLS eligibility, with MT (ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) eligibility within one year of hire. This position emphasizes quality assurance, testing procedures, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Follow testing procedures and QA guidelines; document corrective actions for non-conforming events.
• Prepare reagents and maintain adequate supply for test procedures; manage inventory to reduce waste.
• Exercise clinical judgment to set priorities and coordinate with the department to troubleshoot or arrange service when needed.
• Assist with review and revision of procedures to support accreditation and regulatory requirements (CAP, TJC, OSHA).
• Maintain clear, real-time communication with shift leadership about issues affecting patient care or operations.
