Job summary

Advocate Health's Carolinas Medical Center - LC: Lab: Pineville is seeking a laboratory professional to perform testing and ensure quality and safety in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Requires a Bachelor's degree with MT/MLS (ASCP) eligibility within one year of hire. This full-time role is 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, 7:00am-5:30pm with varying schedules and a pay range of $28.55-$42.85 per hour plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MT/MLS registry eligible within one year of hire.
• MT (ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) eligibility required within one year of hire.
• Ability to follow quality assurance guidelines and testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency and follows testing procedures per QA guidelines and documents corrective actions.
• Prepares reagents and maintains inventory to reduce waste/expense.
• Exercises clinical judgment to prioritize tasks and troubleshoot test systems with specialists when needed.
• Maintains compliance with accreditation requirements (CAP, TJC, OSHA) and updates procedures.
