Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Technician to perform routine laboratory analyses in our Pineville lab; weekend nights and rotating shifts at Providence FSED and Ballantyne FSED are included.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's degree with MT/MLS eligibility (ASCP) and will need to obtain certification within a year of hire. Compensation reflects pay range and eligibility for incentives and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MT/MLS or registry eligible.
• MT (ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) within one year of hire.
• Demonstrates proficiency in testing procedures and QA guidelines.
• Adheres to CAP, TJC, OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory analyses on received specimens with adherence to QA guidelines.
• Prepares reagents and maintains inventory to reduce waste and expense.
• Assists with procedure documentation and accreditation activities.
• Maintains clear shift-to-shift communications with leadership about issues affecting patient care.
• Participates in staff meetings and projects to improve processes.
