Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for the Taylor, MI location on a rotating shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM). The MLS II will perform complex testing, troubleshoot instrumentation, and ensure QA/QC in a fast-paced clinical lab environment.

The position emphasizes adherence to CLIA, HIPAA, and safety standards, with opportunities for professional development and cross-training. A 10–15% shift differential may apply based on hours worked.

Qualifications

• One year full-time experience or training in a clinical lab setting.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience with most recent year in present department.
• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform tests of moderate/high complexity with independent judgment.
• Troubleshoot instruments and procedures.
• Ensure quality control and accurate record keeping.
• Enter results into LIS and report to physicians.
• Maintain safety and proper lab conditions.
• Assist with training of other staff.
