Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Royal Oak, MI is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II to perform tests of moderate/high complexity with independent judgment. The role operates Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with rotational weekends, and requires strong QC, instrument troubleshooting, and data entry into the Laboratory Information System.

You will support the department’s quality control, training, and process improvements while adhering to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety standards in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology, or Associates degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• ASCP Certification (Preferred)
• Knowledge of CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA requirements and lab safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests and report results per SOP with QC requirements.
• Troubleshoot instruments and procedures; support QC and maintenance.
• Enter test results into Laboratory Information System for physician reports.
• Maintain safe, clean lab area and comply with safety standards.
