Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for Highland Park Hospital. The role involves assisting RNs/LPNs in patient care, comfort, and safety, on the Medical Surgical Telemetry unit. The position is full time with an evening shift and rotating weekends.

Responsibilities include patient interactions, basic nursing tasks, safe handling, admissions/discharges, and accurate documentation of patient care activities. BLS is required, CNA training preferred.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the US.
• CNA training course preferred.
• At least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors, answer call lights and phones, and assist in hourly rounding.
• Assist in patient safe handling, ambulation, and repositioning with Safe Patient Handling equipment.
• Provide basic nursing care such as bathing, grooming, oral care, eating, and bed making under RN/LPN supervision.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and room orientation; transport patients as needed.
• Document patient care activities including ADLs, vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other duties per policy.
