Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem seeks a Part-Time Patient Care Technician for the Evening shift at Highland Park Hospital. The role involves supporting RNs/LPNs with patient care, rounds, and daily activities to ensure comfort and safety. Prior CNA training is preferred, with BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to provide patient care tasks under RN/LPN supervision.
• Basic nursing assistance including ADLs, vital signs, and daily living activities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors; answer call lights and phones.
• Assist in ambulation, transferring using Safe Patient Handling equipment.
• Provide basic care including bathing, grooming, eating, and bedmaking.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfers; orient patients to room.
• Document patient care activities and notify nurses as needed.
