Job summary

Endeavor Health's Highland Park Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician for Medical Surgical Telemetry. Working Full Time, Evening shift with rotating weekends, 36 hours weekly, you will support RN/LPN with patient care tasks from ADLs to vital signs.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient interactions, safe handling, and accurate documentation; CNA training and BLS certification preferred; no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited CNA training course preferred.
• At least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred.
• Current BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors, respond to call lights and coordinate with care team.
• Assist with safe patient handling, ambulation, transfers using lifting equipment.
• Provide basic ADL support under RN/LPN supervision.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers and orient patients.
• Document vital signs, intake/output, and care activities; perform point-of-care glucose testing.
• Support nurse with supplies and departmental tasks.
