Job summary

G&W Electric Co. in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a Material Handler II for the 6:00pm to 6:00am D shift. You will move materials, perform inventory, and support production with PIT equipment.

The role requires forklift certification, reading Bills of Material, and basic computer skills. Prior warehouse experience is preferred. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and competitive pay in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must have forklift certification and be able to operate PIT equipment.
• Unloading, moving and storing materials according to routing and orders.
• Intermediate computer skills required for inventory and transactions.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Unload, move and store materials, parts or products; conduct bin maintenance as needed.
• Unload incoming materials; verify quantities and part numbers; report shortages or damage.
• Move materials between cells following routing, tickets or orders.
• Fill orders from storage and deliver to designated cells.
• Operate hand truck and powered lift trucks to move materials and stack pallets.
• Load outgoing trucks using hand truck or lift truck.
• Accurately perform inventory transactions in the G&W business system.
• Perform cycle counts as requested.
• Maintain safe, clean working environment and conserve resources.
• Contribute to team by training others in material handler tasks.
