Job summary

G&W Electric Co in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a Material Handler II for the D shift (6:00pm–6:00am). The role moves materials, checks IDs, and performs inventory in the ERP system.

You’ll unload, store, and route items, fill orders, and operate lifts to manage pallets within a safety-focused manufacturing setting. The candidate should have forklift certification, read Bills of Material, basic computer skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely use pallet jacks, forklifts, stackers and other moving equipment.
• Must be able to read and interpret Bills of Material.
• Must have intermediate level computer skills.
• Has the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others to support manufacturing processes.
• Must be able to provide proof of forklift certification and demonstrate PIT knowledge.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Unload, move and store materials and perform bin maintenance as needed.
• Verify quantities and part numbers, report shortages or damaged material.
• Move materials between cells and to designated areas following routing.
• Fill orders from stock and deliver to designated cells.
• Operate hand trucks and powered lifts to move and stack pallets.
• Perform inventory transactions and cycle counts as requested.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and conserve resources.
• Train others in material handling tasks as needed.
• Inspect work and document actions on forms.
