Job summary
PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to work in the Franklin County Jail in Chambersburg, PA. The position offers a Part-Time Evening Shift from 2 pm to 10:30 pm, with every other weekend.
Primary duties include delivering comprehensive nursing care, documenting in electronic medical records, and ensuring secure handling of medications. Responsibilities extend to maintaining accurate records of controlled substances, performing sick calls, and assisting in care
Qualifications
- LPN licensure in Pennsylvania.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to function under supervision.
- Demonstrate clinical competency.
- Experience in correctional health care delivery system is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to inmates/patients in the Franklin County Jail.
- Maintain, update, and secure electronic medical records.
- Record and manage controlled substances, narcotics, and sharps per laws.
- Conduct sick calls and provide treatment per protocol.
- Observe, report, and document symptoms and progress; contribute to care plans.
- Record, retrieve, and file medical information in inmate/patient records.
