Job summary

PrimeCare Medical is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work evening shifts at the Centre County Jall in Bellefonte, PA. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care under supervision of an RN and duties with electronic medical records.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Practical Nurse license.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to function under supervision.
• Demonstrate clinical competency.
• Experience in correctional health care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care and communicate information to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain, update and secure electronic medical records.
• Maintain records of controlled substances, narcotics and sharps.
• Conduct sick calls for inmates/patients and provide treatment per protocol.
• Observe, report, and document symptoms and progress; contribute to the care plan.
• Record, retrieve and file medical information in inmate/patient medical records.
