Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Lead Sterile Processing Tech for the evenings in Naperville, IL. The position is full-time with 2:00pm–10:30pm shifts; rotating weekends and holidays are required.

Two years of sterile processing experience and CBSPD/CRCST certification are preferred, with Outlook proficiency strongly valued. Responsibilities include supervising the department when the supervisor is away and ensuring timely availability of sterile instruments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CBSPD or CRCST certification required upon hire.
• Two years healthcare sterile processing experience.
• Two years lead or staff education experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Outlook required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in running the department when supervisor is unavailable.
• Inform management items and supplies needed to order, and assist in locating instrumentation to meet OR demand.
• Oversee daily departmental needs.
• Provide sterile processed materials and equipment to hospital and affiliated facilities.
• Ensure decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and cart setup procedures meet patient care standards.
• Follow established procedures to ensure decontamination completion.
• Place sterile items in appropriate areas for distribution with accurate labeling by department.
