Job summary

Endeavor Health in Skokie, IL is seeking a Lead Sterile Processing Tech for the Evenings shift. The role includes assisting in department operations, coordinating supplies, and ensuring timely sterilization of instruments in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The position offers evening hours and a full-time/part-time schedule with competitive hourly pay. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CBSPD or CRCST certification upon hire, and at least 2 years of healthcare sterile processing

Qualifications

• Two (2) years’ experience in healthcare sterile processing (or surgical/procedural area).
• Certification: CBSPD or CRCST through Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire.
• High school Diploma or GED required.
• Two (2) years’ lead or staff education experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Outlook required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in running the department when supervisor is unavailable.
• Inform management of items and supplies needed to order, and assist in locating instrumentation; adjust workflow to OR demand.
• Oversee the departmental needs on a daily basis.
• Provide hospital and affiliated facilities with sterile processed materials and equipment.
• Execute procedures for decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization and cart setup with quality patient care in mind.
• Follow established procedures to ensure decontamination completion.
• Place sterile items in appropriate areas for distribution with proper labeling by department.
