Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Lab Assistant II for the Cleveland, OH laboratory, working Tuesday to Saturday from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. The role supports laboratory professionals by handling specimen receiving, labeling, preparation, data entry in LIS, and QA/QC duties.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience in a technical or clinical laboratory.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required or preferred in some jurisdictions.
• Proficiency with MS Office and LIS software.
• Detail-oriented with ability to follow procedures accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen receiving, labeling, handling and preparation.
• Assist with pre-analytical preparation of specimens and labeling tasks.
• Record digital temperature and notify licensed personnel if out of range.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance on some equipment.
• Prepare chemicals, reagents and solutions for use in the lab.
• Maintain organized work area and equipment.
• Enter data in LIS and manage paperwork.
• Complete QA/QC duties as assigned.
