Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Cleveland, OH seeks a Lab Associate II for the Auto Chemistry department, working Thursday to Monday from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. This non-licensed role supports specimen handling, sample preparation, data entry, and quality control within the laboratory workflow.

Responsibilities include preparing reagents, maintaining logs, and assisting licensed personnel. A comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth are provided.

Qualifications

• 1 year of histopathology, cytology or other laboratory experience.
• 1 year of experience handling PHI and other patient information using LIS (Laboratory Information System)

Responsibilities

• Prepares and organizes samples for testing (racking, aliquoting, tube prep).
• Labels, handles, processes or prepares specimens and transports/stores them.
• Identifies sample problems and assists in resolution.
• Prepares testing equipment and assists with preventive maintenance.
• Assists licensed personnel or supervisor in pre- and post-analytic testing activities.
• Maintains records of reagents and controls.
• Maintains inventory of consumables and restocks as needed.
• Sorts and accessioning into LIS; delivers to testing platform.
• Performs data entry and prepares data for licensed staff review.
• Takes initiative for process improvement and supports training.
