Quest Diagnostics Inc. is seeking a Lab Assistant II to join our Tampa, FL lab schedule Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

The role supports laboratory professionals by performing routine specimen handling and entry of data into the LIS, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety protocols. The position offers a starting pay around $17.75 per hour with potential shift differentials and an array of benefits.

Qualifications

• One year full-time experience in a technical or clinical laboratory preferred.
• Ability to follow procedures with accuracy and maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and LIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive, label, and prepare specimens.
• Assist with pre-analytical preparation and data entry into LIS.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance and QA/QC duties.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and proper safety practices.
• Dispose of biohazardous materials and assist with filing/documentation.
