Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Lab Associate I to support specimen processing and testing in a fast-paced laboratory. This role supports licensed personnel and prepares reagents, records data, and helps maintain lab cleanliness and safety.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent, proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong communication, and good hand-eye coordination. Evening shift with Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of operating non-complex equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong typing skills desirable.
• Communication and interpersonal skills to interact with management, coworkers, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and organizes samples for testing and tube preparation.
• Labels, handles, processes or prepares specimens and ensures storage.
• Identifies sample problems and assists in resolution.
• Prepares testing equipment and assists with maintenance; notifies staff of issues.
• Assists licensed personnel in pre-analytic and post-analytic testing activities.
• Prepares reagents and maintains documentation and records.
• Maintains inventory and restocks supplies.
• Performs data entry and tallies workload data as requested.
• Supports quality control procedures and documentation.
