Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking an IT Support Technician for 2nd shift to deliver first-level technical support across a manufacturing facility. You will troubleshoot computers, software, printers, scanners, and mobile devices, aiding both office and production areas and escalating complex issues as needed.

The role requires strong problem-solving, basic Windows knowledge, and good customer service. Training occurs during the initial days, with evening hours and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in IT or technical support preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows and common applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level IT support to employees.
• Troubleshoot computer, software, hardware, and connectivity issues.
• Assist with login, password, and access issues.
• Install, configure, and replace computers, monitors, printers, scanners, and other equipment.
• Support production-floor technology, including computers, terminals, scanners, and printers.
• Assist with basic network and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Prepare and deploy equipment for new employees.
• Track and maintain IT equipment and inventory.
• Assist with software installation and updates.
• Document troubleshooting and completed service requests.
• Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate IT personnel.
• Provide professional and timely customer service.
• Follow all IT security, safety, and manufacturing procedures.
