Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to support licensed pharmacists in both preparation and distribution of medications at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Aurora, CO. The role includes labeling, medication distribution, and inventory tasks, with day-to-day duties based on department needs.

This 20-hour-per-week position runs 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, every other weekend or alternating holidays. Requires high school diploma and state licensure; training and certification within 18

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State board registration/licensure per state of employment.
• Certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) or ExCPT within 18 months from start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist with technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
• Accurately select, prepare, and label medications including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks and inventory control.
• Screen phone calls and route as needed using proper telephone etiquette.
• May participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in training pharmacy technicians.
